Andrew is a guitarist and composer from Crownsville, Maryland. He has been the Music Director with Silver Spring Company A for many years! He enjoys composing music, traveling, and performing live with his theatrical musical group, Night Watch Paradox.

Anisa Zaman is a 25-year-old mentor from Silver Spring, Maryland. She is trained as a user experience designer. She is a creative type who enjoys music, art, film, and literature. She is happy to mentor at ArtStream and is looking forward to many more shows in the future.

This is Ann’s first-year volunteering with ArtStream. She recently moved to the area after retiring to be near her children and grandchildren. Over the course of her counseling career, Ann worked in community mental health centers, and was a case manager and supervisor for a disability management company. For the last 15 years, prior to her retirement, she worked in the school system in Pennsylvania, teaching students with disabilities, socialization and work skills, out in the community. Ann wants to give a shout out to all her new friends at Art Stream and her family for supporting her in her first acting debut.

Becky Birch is a 43-year-old actor from Rockville, MD. She started acting when she was 12 years old at Bethesda Academy for the Performing Arts, now Imagination Stage. She does custodial work daily at NIST, a U.S. Government agency in suburban Maryland. She is employed by Didlake Contractors. Her fiancé, Max Rubenstein, is teaching her how to become a deejay. They enjoy travel, sports events, musical theater and being with their friends.

Caroline is a 26-year-old actor from Darnestown, MD. This is her sixth year acting on the ArtStream stage! Caroline previously performed in ArtStream’s Shakespeare for All class. Caroline is creative offstage too. She does artwork and art sketching. She enjoys cooking and often prepares meals for her family. Caroline also enjoys reading.

This is Charlie’s first show with ArtStream. She is 23 years old and got interested in acting in high school doing musi- cals and plays and got into the tech side of theatre while studying at Knox College. She directed Jimmy’s Space Drama (Knox College, 2020), stage managed Sorry, Wrong Number (Knox College, 2019), The Last Nickel (Silver Spring Community Theatre, 2022), Shakespeare in Love (2022)
and acted in The Laramie Project (Knox College, 2019), Almost Neverland (Knox College, 2018), Top Girls (Knox College, 2017) When she isn’t or stage managing, she’s enjoy playing DND or embroidering while listening to one of the many podcasts they follow. When she’s not stage managing for ArtStream, Charlie teaches at imagination stage, works as a standardized patient at GWU, and works in audience services at STC. “Thank you to my friends and family who came to see the show.”

Chris is a 31-year-old actor from Rockville, Maryland. This is his sixth year acting with ArtStream. Chris is a supply clerk at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In his free time, he likes to hang out with his friends, watch movies via streaming, and play video games. He is a huge fan of the Washington Capitals and Formula 1 racing. “To my parents and friends, thank you for all your support. I could not have done it without you! And a big THANK YOU to ArtStream for making it possible for the show to go on!”

Kit is a 24-year-old actor from Silver Spring, MD. Kit joined ArtStream in 2014. He took classes at Imagination Stage and performed at the Ivymount School and the Katherine Thomas High School. Kit especially enjoys musicals and Shakespeare. He volunteers at the Smith Environmental Education Center, taking care of the animals and their exhibits. Kit organizes hikes with his high school alumni group and loves to be outdoors in nature, exploring, swimming, hiking, or running. Kit also loves museums, history, and getting friends together to play games (card, board or video). “Live long and prosper.”

Diana is a playwright, screenwriter, essayist, theatre critic, and creative writer from Silver Spring, Maryland. Diana has been a teaching artist with Round House Theatre since high school. Round House commissioned and produced Diana’s play “Beach Week” with their teen performance company. Diana wrote for the MTV scripted series “Faking It” and worked on the ABC Family show “Greek.” Diana was a finalist for the Humanitas New Voices writing award two years in a row for both comedy and drama writing. Diana received her MFA in Creative Writing at American University and her BS in Communication (Theatre Major with a certificate in Creative Writing for the Media) from Northwestern University.

Eli is a 32-year-old actor living in Rockville, MD. He grew up in North Chevy Chase, MD. Eli has been acting with ArtStream for thirteen years and served as the client repre- sentative on the ArtStream Board of Directors from 2016 to 2017. Eli also performed with Imagination Stage and at summer camp. He works at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a supply clerk. Eli enjoys collecting movie tickets and Special Olympics medals. “Thank you to mom, dad, Natalie, and all my friends from ArtStream.”

Elle is an actor, teaching artist, director, and intimacy direc- tor based here in DC. She has performed with Washington National Opera, National Ballet of Canada, Smithsonian’s Discovery Theatre, Stillpointe Theatre, and others. She is a Shakespeare in Schools company member with Educational Theatre Company. She also teaches with Round House Theatre, Arts on the Horizon, and Imagination Stage. Some directing credits include Round House, Best Medicine Rep, and George Mason University. Elle is also on the leadership team for Voices Unbarred, the primary programing for Ally Theatre, and is a registered yoga instructor.

Eric is a 30-year-old actor from Takoma Park, Maryland. This is his eighth performance with ArtStream! Eric also performed and assistant directed with Lumina Studio Theatre, was an actor in the Blair High School Theatre Program, and was stage manager for The Nether and The Burn at Montgomery College. In addition to acting, Eric plays the guitar. Eric is also going to Montgomery College for his Associates of Arts. “Thank you for your support! Faith is a 27-year-old Washington, D.C. native. She performed with ArtStream since 2019, after many years as a member of the Imagination Stage Pegasus Ensemble. Faith is an artist at the VisAbility Art Lab in Rockville, an active member and part-time employee at Main Street, a Special Olympics athlete, and avid dancer. Faith says, “Thank you to all the staff and mentors for making ArtStream so much fun!”

Ivy is a 24-year-old actor, who hails from sunny Rockville, Maryland. This is her fifth year with the company. Her favorite character to play so far was Anna Seattle, and her favorite ArtStream class was Comedy. Her other credits include acting and set crew for The Addams Family Musical at Damascus High School. She loves to act, dance, and sing. Ivy plays soccer and enjoys meeting new friends. She currently works at the Aspen Wood Senior Center.

Jamie is a 31-year-old actor from Kensington, Maryland. He has acted with ArtStream for 12 seasons. Jamie performed on stage with St. Columba’s Players at St. Columba’s Church in Washington, DC. He also appeared in the 2017 short film Doctor Who: Village of the Daleks with J. Billian Productions. Jamie loves to read books about theatre and cinema history. He is also interested in politics and he volunteers with the campaigns of his favorite candidates. In January 2020, he was a member of Washington Revels’ King’s Court at their 12th Night celebration. Before the pandemic, he worked for Dogtopia. He looks forward to getting a job with dogs again sometime this year. “ArtStream is AWESOME!”

Jeffrey is a 32-year-old actor who recently moved into a townhouse in Germantown with a roommate. He is very excited about this! He joined ArtStream in 2013. Prior to performing with ArtStream, Jeffrey was part of the Pegasus cast at Imagination Stage. Jeffrey enjoys working at his job. He does data entry and filing at a financial services company. He also volunteers at a nursing home a few days a week. In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys watching sports, swimming, music, surfing the web on the computer, and ArtStream classes. “Thank you to the ArtStream staff and cast members for making this a great show! Jennifer is a 26-year-old teacher from Alexandria, Virginia. This is her third year & show with ArtStream, and first year as Assistant Director! She graduated from George Mason University in August 2021, and is currently working as a Lead Preschool Teacher in Springfield, VA. She is a fan of most genres in music, preferably pop. “I have been a huge fan of Michael Jackson since I was 12. He has been my idol ever since.” She loves shopping, being with family, and just doing what she loves. She is a huge football fan, especially when it comes to the Baltimore Ravens! “Whenever I’m at a football game, I always feel like I’m home, and in my element.” Being with ArtStream has given her a better understanding of what it’s like to be an actress, maintain focus at rehearsals, and just having a fun time! This is her first official show as an actor on stage with the Silver Spring Company B at ArtStream, and has enjoyed every bit! “It has been such an honor working with everyone at ArtStream these past few years! JP is a 48-year-old actor originally from New York City, living in Bethesda, MD. JP started acting with ArtStream in 2007, one of the very first Theatre Company shows! JP began his acting career while in elementary school, playing various parts in productions by the Bethesda Academy for the Performing Arts (BAPA). When he’s not on stage, JP is an usher at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. “Thanks to my family and friends.”

Katy is a 35-year-old actor from Silver Spring, MD. She has been acting with ArtStream for seven years. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in studio art. Katy works as an archivist aide for the Archives of American Art. Maggie Cammaroto is a DC-based actress, choreographer, and theatre educator. She is also a recent graduate of Georgetown University where she studied psychology, theatre, and theology. Ultimately, she hopes to pursue a career in the healing modalities of performance, movement, and herbalism.

Mark is originally from Buffalo, NY. He started at ArtStream in 2018 as a volunteer mentor with the Gaithersburg Theatre Company. Mark recently directed the Alexandria Theatre Company. He is also served as Music Director for the Virginia Cabaret Company. Mark enjoys writing, performing, and experiencing live music. He loves writing everything from screenplays to inspirational text messages. Mark wishes “The biggest of leg-breaks to the cast and fellow creative team!”

Michael is a 32-year-old actor from Silver Spring, MD. He has been with ArtStream since 2015. In addition to ArtStream, Michael also plays percussion instruments with the InterPLAY Orchestra. Michael enjoys hiking, playing Monopoly and checkers, and helping with trail maintenance at Woodend Nature Center. He also attends classes at Montgomery College. Michael is an accom- plished sailor and is looking forward to getting back out on the water this summer. The Lautenberger family is very grateful that Michael has been able to continue his connections with his ArtStream friends.

Michael is a 42-year-old actor from Silver Spring, Maryland. His first ArtStream show was The Wizard of Ooohs and Aaahs. He also was in Shops and Robbers, Til Death Do Us Part, Camp Tumblesteed, A Tempest Tale, and Once Upon a Time in Egypt and Game Overboard. Michael appreciates being part of ArtStream. He loved working with Music Mike, and now loves working with Music Mark. In his spare time, he loves to play his electric bass guitar along with country and country gospel music. Every St Patrick’s Day, he is part of a band called the Lucky Charms that plays for a neighborhood party. He also enjoys watching movies, going for walks, visiting with family and friends, and reading the Boxcar Children books. He is delighted to be a part of Forcey Bible Church. Nadia lives in Rockville in her own apartment and works for the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Aging and Disability. Her childhood friend, Josie Campbell, gave her the idea for her char- acter. Josie is a screenwriter in Los Angeles who wrote the miniseries The New Champion of Shazam. Nadia was selected for The Arc of Maryland Partners in Policymaking 2020. She joined ArtStream in 2013, first backstage, then onstage, with both Cabaret and Theatre Companies, and also volunteers with Silver Spring Stage. Nadia worked as a Production Assistant in the MD Cabaret.

Patrick is a 32-year-old actor from Rockville, MD. He is one of the original members of Silver Spring B. This is his twelfth year performing. Patrick works for Sodexo and is an administrative member of the Rockville VFD. For 22 years he has been a Special Olympic athlete in basketball, soccer, and track and field. He loves music, movies, dancing, and is looking forward to getting back to all these activities! He is a wonderful uncle to Jamison and Olivia. He is proud to be living in his own apartment at Main Street.

Robin is a 22-year-old actor from Silver Spring, MD. He is thrilled to be in his second ArtStream production, having acted in Munch Ado last year. Robin also acted previously with the Pegasus Ensemble at Imagination Stage, Prospero in The Tempest and Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Robin is in Kennedy Krieger’s Meaningful Community Services program, loves jokes, and loves all kinds of music. He is having a great time using his musical skills in Football! Finals! Finances! He also likes to share his love of music on his radio show on Takoma Radio, and he has had a great time getting to know all his new ArtStream friends!

Rye Ellis (He/Him) is the Marketing and Program Assistant at ArtStream. Rye currently lives in Olney, MD with his partner, Haley, and their three pets – Gretl, Stevie, and Kiko. Rye began volunteering in ArtStream classes in 2014 and has never left. He has proudly worn many hats in ArtStream over the years including mentor, assistant director, writer, script editor, teaching artist, and director. He has most notably been the co-director for Silver Spring Company B since 2019 and is currently working on his tenth show with his “home company.” Rye is very excited to join the ArtStream staff team as a Marketing and Program Assistant. Outside of ArtStream, Rye has specialized in working with people with disabilities and autism in other organizations such as the Cura Personalis Project, Spectrum and Beyond, and the Arc of Central Chesapeake. Rye has always been deeply involved in the arts and passionate about promoting inclusivity and self-expression in everything he does. He credits his family and the ArtStream community for inspiring him to pursue his work as a teaching artist and direct support professional. Rye is looking forward to many more magical years with ArtStream.

Sabrini is a 31-year-old actor from Potomac, MD. This is her fourth show with ArtStream! Sabrini began performing in high school, where she worked with other students on the Daily Morning Show. During her junior year, Sabrini also performed in a talent show. Sabrini is active with Spirit Club and ArtStream. Sandra is a choreographer and dancer and has been work- ing and teaching dance to older adults and special needs populations in the Greater Washington D.C. area for more than 25 years. She has worked with Artstream since 2010 and is a Master Teacher for dance/choreography. Sandy performs with Nancy Havlik’s Dance Performance Group and works with The Atonement Project, a group of per- formers from Philadelphia, PA (Go Birds!) She has a BFA in dance from The Boston Conservatory of Music and a MA in dance from The American University. “ I am excited to continue working with Silver Spring Co A for another AMAZING Season.”

Steven is an actor from Montgomery County, MD. This is Steven’s eleventh show with ArtStream. Steven works as a customer host at Walmart in Germantown, Maryland. He also provides computer support on a freelance basis to people in his neighborhood. In his free time, Steven enjoys working with computers, playing video games, constructing Lego sets, and practicing photography. He claims to have more cameras than he can count!

This is Sylvia’s second show with ArtStream. She is 17 years old. She became interested in acting through working behind the scenes in many middle and high school productions. ArtStream helped her with that final push to get onto the stage. This is only her second time performing in a show. Outside of ArtStream, she enjoys drawing, painting, and all things visual arts. She is one of the shows volunteer mentor. “Thank you to my friends for coming to my show. Thank you to my parents for encouraging me to go out of my comfort zone and join new activities that were truly life changing.”

TR is a 36-year-old actor from Silver Spring, MD. This is his twelfth year with ArtStream! TR performed in the productions of Tom Sawyer and The Wizard of Oz at Rock Terrace High School, Rockville, MD. He loves to play video games on just about every platform imaginable. TR is also a sports junkie, keeping up with numerous teams all the time. TR has always enjoyed dancing and is a third- degree Taekwondo Black Belt. He works in the Supported Employment division of CHI Centers, Inc., Silver Spring, Maryland, as a custodian on municipal, state, and federal government contracts. “Looking forward to seeing all my family and friends who come every year to see me perform! Vu is a 37-year-old actor from Syracuse, NY, currently living in Silver Spring, MD. Vu has acted with ArtStream since 2017. He also volunteered as the ArtStream Board Client Liaison in 2021. Vu works in the Floral Department at Safeway making flower arrangements, flower wraps, and balloons. He enjoys half-marathons, cross country, track and field, and soccer. Vu has a second-degree black belt in Okinawan Goju-Ryu karate. He loves listening and DJing R&B, pop, and rock & roll music. He can spin some moves on the dance floor!

Zeev is a 29-year-old actor who makes his home in a Rockville, MD apartment, part of Makom. This is Zeev’s seventh year performing with ArtStream. His favorite roles so far include playing a Lion in The Great Dames Game and Zeevoid in Once Upon a Time in Egypt. Zeev works at The Villages at Rockville and enjoys the History Channel, Sci-Fi TV, listening to classical music, collecting airplanes, and walking the treadmill.

Josef Newton
Josef is a happy, smart 34-year-old. He lives in Springfield, Virginia. Josef has performed nine years with ArtStream and works at Stuarts Medical providing medical equipment for people with disabilities. He loves music and plays banjo, mandolin, and dobro. He loves swimming and riding a bicycle. Josef loves to travel and has been to Cuba, Colombia, and Mexico. His favorite part of ArtStream is music and dance. Josef is so happy to be part of the ArtStream community and to be sharing his experience with all.

Amy is a 29-year-old actress from Vienna, Virginia. This is her fifth season with the ArtStream Alexandria Theatre Company. Amy also enjoyed improv and Shakespeare classes with ArtStream. She also does ballroom dancing with the Dancing Stars of Northern Virginia. They performed at a TED Talk at the University of Maryland in College Park and at Elegant Dancing. In addition, Amy enjoys basketball, cooking, baking, swimming, and helping teach the 5-year-olds at her church. Until the pandemic, Amy worked at Wildflour Caterers. During the pandemic, she did lots of bike riding, hiking, reading, and cooking. She now works at ECHO. “Thanks to my parents and friends for their support and to my new friends at ArtStream for their wonderful friendship.”

Andrew has been with ArtStream since 2019 in their Improv class in Reston. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Andrew has been performing since 2nd grade when he lived in San Francisco, and it was in his West Portal Elementary School performance of “Peter Pan” in fifth grade where he got bit by the performance bug and shined in his performance of Captain Hook. During High School, Andrew lived in Moscow, Russia and performed with the US Embassy Youth Drama Guild’s productions of “Much Ado About Nothing” Andrew was Don Juan. Andrew says, “I love to perform and pretend to be other people and I love to make people laugh.”

Cassie Rennie is a 26-year-old performer from Arlington, Virginia. She performed with ArtStream’s Alexandria Company A for five years and has taken many ArtStream classes. This is her second time performing with the Cabaret. Cassie is a student at Northern Virginia Community College. In her free time, she enjoys puppetry, reading, writing stories and scripts, and juggling. She is an active member of Cool Aspies and Best Buddies Citizens.

Chelsea Murray is a 33-year-old actor from Great Falls, Virginia. She has been acting with the Alexandria ArtStream Theatre Company since 2010. One Small Step is her eleventh show with ArtStream. Chelsea has always loved the theatre. She loves to act, sing, dance, and listen to music. She began her career at age five with Chris Collins Dance Studio where she performed for 12 years. Chris Mannix is an assistant director and stage manager. He’s been involved in theater and cinema since middle school, both performing and behind the scenes. He began his career in the performing arts in 2016 with Shakespeare Opera Theatre. He’s worked on a few indie movies as a production assistant. Other stage credits include Loudon Lyric Opera and Opera Nova. He lives in Northern Virginia. In his free time, he enjoys taking walks with his dog Ellie and playing virtual reality.

Frank Stephens lives with a thought from Mahatma Gandhi foremost in his mind, “My life is my message.” That thought is at the heart of Frank’s statement, “I am a man with Down syndrome, and my life is worth living.” Frank describes himself as an Actor, Author, and Advocate, and he is truly all of those. He has appeared in feature films, work-shopped plays in New York, developed a recurring role in the Emmy-winning “Born This Way”, appeared in documentaries, like “The R Word” and “Upside Down”, related to intellectual disabilities, and has been a member of the ArtStream troupe since 2005. He has written op-ed pieces published all over the world. He is an articulate advocate, best known for his impassioned defense of the value of life with Down syndrome in testimony to the US House Appropriations Committee and the United Nations Committee on Human Rights. Frank logged over 70,000 miles, in 2018 alone, addressing audiences large and small, including students from middle school to Harvard Law School. All of Frank’s acting, writing, and speaking is in furtherance of the single objective of convincing a skeptical world that individuals born with Down syndrome are fully human and are capable of full, satisfying, and worthwhile lives. Frank serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

Greg Hoppe has been performing since age 3. Greg’s first mainstage production was at Lake Braddock Secondary, where he received the eighth grade Outstanding Drama Student Award. At Saint Paul VI High School, he was in musicals all four years, earning a Cappies Director’s Commendation and membership in the International Thespian Society, returning for seven additional musicals as a guest alumni actor. Greg began his association with Artstream in 2008, joining Alexandria Company B in 2013. In 2018, he helped launch Heart House Inclusive Productions (Woodbridge, Virginia), appearing in their first 2 shows, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and The Addams Family. This summer will appear in HHIP’s SpongeBob Squarepants, the Musical. Greg works on the GMU campus and enjoys yoga, dance, biking, live theater, movies, and Jeopardy! “On with the show!”

Jenny loves musical theater, and she performed in Anything Goes and The Boyfriend at Paul VI Catholic High School. She works with children with/without disabilities in preschool and recreation programs, and she volunteers for Best Buddies, writing and illustrating letters to contributors. In her free time, Jenny advocates for people with disabilities. Kerry started acting at Annandale High School in Ms. Eagle’s class and has been part of ArtStream’s Company A since 2009. This year marks her 14th show with ArtStream. Kerry loves her job at Cameron’s Coffee and Chocolates in Fairfax, she loves singing, dancing, acting, sports, and her family. Laura is a summa cum laude graduate of Northern Virginia Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts. She enjoys the performing arts and she is fairly fluent in Spanish. Laurie Ann is appearing in her fourteenth ArtStream musical. Her characters have ranged from being a singing alleycat to a “we-are-bad” alien to a trusty sidekick, through which she brought her quiet joy to each production. Before the pandemic, weekends for Laurie Ann were frequently filled with Special Olympics practices and tournaments, in snowshoeing, basketball, soccer, softball, and golf skills. A highlight for her and her family was being included on the Virginia Special Olympics golf team in 2010 for the Special Olympics National Games in Lincoln, Nebraska, at which she won a silver medal in the golf skills competition. Laurie Ann attended school in Arlington, Virginia, and spends her workdays at MVLE in Springfield, Virginia.

This is Lukas’ 13th year performing in an ArtStream pro[1]duction. Lukas’ favorite musical is The Pirates of Penzance. After watching this Gilbert & Sullivan classic, Lukas knew he wanted to be a singer and dancer on the stage. He was cast in Fiddler on the Roof and Chicago when he was a student at T.C. Williams High School. With the support of his mother, Lukas can learn his lines, scenes, and songs. When Lukas is on stage, he feels a bit nervous, yet completely confident the show will be wonderful. Lukas would like to thank his family and friends for all their love over these years and his Cool Aspies family of friends who have come to every ArtStream performance. Merry Jayne Casillas is a 39-year-old actor from Arlington, Virginia. Since joining ArtStream in 2007, Merry appeared in 16 ArtStream musicals and invited other actors to join the company, many of whom are still company members. She is happiest when the group is writing plays, rehearsing, and performing. Merry fell in love with acting while performing with the Phoenix Company at Imagination Stage. She has also appeared in church Roadshows, The Order is Love with McLean Stage, and The Music Man at Stratford High School. Merry is a graduate of The Stratford Program. She likes to write poetry, paint, make jewelry, and have fun with her 37 nieces and nephews. “My big family and lots of friends are my cheering fans every year and I love them!”

Ricky Kuron is a 31-year-old actor living in Alexandria, Virginia. He has been in ArtStream for 3 years, starting with ArtStream’s Improv Comedy class where he met his friends Dave and Jaxson. Other than exercising and playing video games at home, Ricky writes poetry and spends some quality time with his family. He graduated from Tarboro High School in 2011. He moved to Virginia three years later and worked at the Fort Belvoir North Post Exchange Express. He won an award for Service Source’s 2018 Job Placement Employee of the year and volunteered at the Mount Vernon adult health day care center. He now volunteers as a writer for a women’s pro wrestling news company called Women’s Wrestling Talk. At his church in Springfield, he is a Knight of Columbus doing charities for people with disabilities. Once a month on the weekends, he and his friends go to see Independent Wrestling shows in Fairfax, Annandale, and Washington D.C. “I want to thank ArtStream for getting aspiring actors like myself to achieve and excel in their goals and dreams. At George Mason, Adrian appeared in plays, worked back- stage, and joined several student theater groups. Adrian has extensive work experience, ranging from interning at the Smithsonian Institution with Project Search to a Congressional internship on Capitol Hill. Adrian is a trained peer mentor with Project STIR. Adrian works for TerpsExceed as a peer advocate specialist. With ArtStream, Adrian was a client liaison on the board, participates in the Gaithersburg Theater Company A, and leads communication and community workshops.

He maintains an active life that includes music with the InterPLAY Orchestra, sports with Special Olympics and the Montgomery County Road Runners (MCRRC), art and crafts with UCR, as well as acting with ArtStream. He is also a Special Olympics athlete in bocce and powerlifting, and he loves to participate in the annual Super Polar Bear Plunge with the organization. Kathleen served on the Board of Directors and the Public Policy Committee of the ARC of Montgomery County. Kathleen is the youngest of five children. She aspires to be a professional singer or actor in Hollywood, including movies, film, and TV. Her ultimate goal is to perform with her favorite Soap Opera stars in General Hospital. “I’ll always be a star wherever my journey takes me. She receives residential support services from the Jubilee Association of Maryland. She is active in Jubilee and SPIRIT Club activities. Kirsten served on the ArtStream Board of Directors as Client Liaison from 2018- 2019. She enjoys Zoom Sibling Happy Hour meetings with ArtStream and other Zoom activities with Jubilee. Lindsay grew up in Bethesda but now lives in Rockville. While in Bethesda, she performed with BAPA (now Imagination Stage) and has been in ArtStream from the beginning. She loves singing and dancing and all the friends she has made through the years there. She went to Walter Johnson High School and then to the Vocational Independence Program at New York Tech in Long Island. During the day, Lindsay works in the Day Care Center at NIH. Lindsay is a huge sports fan. She is active in karate, both in taking classes and teaching. She now has earned a blue-belt. Her two favorite sports teams are the Nationals and the Caps.

Matthew is a 44-year-old actor from Bethesda, MD. He started with ArtStream as Old Green Eyes in Saving the Starlight, performed at the Arts Barn in the 2006-2007 season. In 2009 he was James Beard-Childs in It’s a Wonderful Pie which was performed at BlackRock Center for the Arts, so he’s returning to a familiar stage. He has also performed in ArtStream plays at Rosborough Center Theatre, the Olney Theater, and Bender JCC of Greater Washington. Matthew starts each day with a 6 a.m. swim practice (butterfly is his favorite stroke) and then goes on Zoom for classes at Opportunities, Inc. Matthew loves all his hobbies, which include singing, whistling, acting, swim- ming, listening to music, and learning foreign languages (he speaks French, Spanish, and German fluently, and can order a meal in Chinese). Megan is a 39-year-old actor from Rockville, Maryland. She has been acting with ArtStream since the first Inclusive Theatre Companies – this is her sixteenth show! Megan’s love for dancing and acting blossomed through performances at Imagination Stage many years ago. In addition to performing, Megan is also an author. She co-authored the children’s book The Colorful Adventures of Pauline and Tiff with ArtStream co-founder Nicolette Stearns. Megan lives independently and works at Interfaith Works. She is very active in community activities, including Special Olympics. She competes in cross-country skiing, sailing, swimming, and basketball, earning medals at the Special Olympics World Games in China (sailing), Austria (cross-country skiing), and Idaho (cross-country skiing). “I am thrilled that we are in our second post-COVID ArtStream season of in-person rehearsals and performances with all of my ArtStream friends.”

Melanie is a 29-year-old actor who lives in Potomac, MD and works at Easter Seals Child Care Center in Silver Spring. In spring 2019, she participated in the ArtStream Musical Theater class. Prior to that, she had been active with the Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts, and was in several productions, including Once on this Island and Into the Woods. Melanie also enjoyed performing in the Summer Theater Arts for Youth over two summers. Melanie also enjoys her dog Bailey and shopping and volunteering at a nonprofit bridal boutique. Melanie wants to thank her family and two very special friends named Erika and Cherrika who have supported her and been there for her throughout her theater experience.

Mike attended Sherwood High School where he sang in the chorus for three years and performed in Rock-n-Roll Revival for two. Mike attends Community Support Services, where he receives job sup- port and training. Mike enjoys computers and would like a computer job one day. He loves watching football and playing video games. Every year he plays on a basketball team. Mike also enjoys bowling and is a First-degree brown belt in karate. “I have enjoyed acting with ArtStream, from the first day I started.”

he has participated in several ArtStream classes. Nader works part-time at both the Marriott hotels and the Congressional Country Club. He loves his neighborhood and volunteers at the Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club. Nader enjoys going to the gym and competes in swimming, soccer, basketball, pickleball, and tennis with Special Olympics. He loves being in the company of people and enjoys talking about landscaping, reptiles, beekeeping, and politics. He spends a lot of time with his cat, Marble, browsing Facebook, caring for his yard, operating his outdoor equipment, and taking the Metro to DC. “I enjoy acting and am so happy that I made new friends at ArtStream. This is Nicki’s second production with ArtStream! She teaches ArtStream classes and loves working with the Theatre as well. Nicki grew up dancing and always loved to create. She comes from a Puerto Rican background that fuels her passion of dancing to many genres of music. Previously, she choreographed dance for various dance companies, dance events, and public and private schools throughout Montgomery County. Gaithersburg Company B will be her first of many productions with Gaithersburg and she is so excited to be able to create with such talented actors around her! “This has been an amazing experience. Nmandi Thompson is a 25-year-old actor who started acting with ArtStream in 2019. Nmandi began her acting career in 2015, performing at Imagination Stage for many years during middle and high school. Peter is from Rockville, Maryland. He joined the Gaithersburg A Theatre Company in 2018. In addition to Peter’s ArtStream experiences, he served as a Party Guest for four seasons in Chamberlain Performing Arts’ Nutcracker in Richardson, Texas, plus has been thrilled to present skits in various talent shows. During the day, Peter is proud to be working part-time at TopGolf in Germantown, and participates in the Supported Employment program at the Kennedy Institute of Catholic Charities in Rockville. In his spare time, he enjoys neighborhood walks, puzzles, SPIRIT Club classes, Special Olympics bowling, and movie watch parties with his sister. Pierre (he/him), age 27, is an aspiring poet, performer and artist who is thrilled in contributing to Artstream’s production of Are You For Reels. Pierre has been training in acting both in the U.S through programs like Imagination Stage and outside of the U.S at a young age. Pierre has a bachelor’s degree majoring in Performing Arts from the Richmond International American School of London and a MFA degree in Advance Devising and Performance from Rose Bruford College in London. Pierre started being a volunteer for ArtStream for a workshop called ‘Stories Through Movement’ in the summer of 2022 and is continuing volunteering as a mentor for this season’s show in 2023. Acting has been a quintessential part of Pierre’s experience being part of the arts and hopes to contribute and assist future performers, especially in physical theater. Previous shows include: POMAD Pielian (2021), When We Dead Awaken (2019), and ‘Club Cockatoo’ (2018). Pierre enjoys traveling, writing, scuba diving, and playing music sometimes. Pierre would like to thank his family for all the support and love they provide during this strange journey known as life and allowing him to pursue his artistic interests.

R. Andrew (aka Andy) has been writing songs and performing since 1982. This is his first ArtStream show, and he has found the role of Music Director to be a very rewarding opportunity. Andy got his first guitar from a Portland, Oregon pawnshop for his 18th birthday in 1981 and began teaching himself to play. This began a lifelong journey of developing as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Over the past 4 decades Andy performed as a solo artist and with bands on the west and east coasts. He has been a registered BMI artist since 2010. Andy would have liked to explore a full-time music career, but after earning his Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1986, he chose the steady work of becoming a professional social worker. He went on to earn his Master of Social Work Degree in 1991 and joined the U.S. Public Health Service. He continued to write music and play in bands “on the side” while serving in a variety of assignments as a Commissioned Officer. In 2021, Andy retired after 30 years of service, which opened the door to spending more time on music. Shannon is a 43-year-old actor from Rockville, MD. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and moved with her family to Olney, MD, in 1987. She has been an actor with ArtStream for sixteen years. Shannon’s love of drama began at Imagination Stage (formerly Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts) where she performed for 10 years. Shannon works as a childcare assistant at The Children in the Shoe Child Care in Bethesda, MD. She has been employed there for over 16 years. Some of Shannon’s favorite activities include karaoke, dancing, Zumba, going to the movies, and swimming. She also enjoys arts and crafts projects, photography, and scrapbooking. Tanya is an ArtStream veteran. Tanya loves volunteering in retail. She works at two different thrift stores and loves being able to organize the incoming donations and interact with customers. Tanya is also a Special Olympics athlete. She attended the State Competition for bowling a number of times, most recently earning a Bronze medal for her performance. In her free time, Tanya enjoys working on puzzles, going for walks, and attending activities in the community. Tanya is also a talented chef – she always shares her delicacies with her friends and staff. Additionally, Tanya enjoys creating pottery; her dishes, pots, and plates can be found in her friends’ and families’ homes. Tanya hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Terrel is an actor from Bethesda, MD. He has been acting with ArtStream since the very beginning – this is his seventeenth show! Terrel began acting when he was 15 years old with Imagination Stage (formerly Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts) and believes acting is a great goal to pursue! Terrel has worked at Special Olympics International in Washington DC for 18 years. He is currently a special assistant in the business department. In July 2015, at the Special Olympics World Games in Long Beach, California, Terrel became a “World Champion,” winning a bronze medal for being the first sailor from the USA to sail a boat solo at the World Games. He is also on the Special Olympics ski and track and field teams. “Special thanks to my family, friends, counselors, sports coaches, and ArtStream staff for always encouraging me to aim high!”

Aaron started his acting career in Kindergarten as one of the monkeys in the play, “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed” He didn’t want to leave the stage after the play was over, that’s when we knew this was going to be apart of Aarons life moving forward. Aaron loves all types of music, acting, singing, dancing, and playing the drums. Aaron was a part of shows from elementary through to high school where he was part of the cast for 12 productions, 6 musicals, and 6 plays. Some of his favorites were High School Musical, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, Sound of Music, and Bye Bye Birdie to name a few. One of Aarons’s favorite things to do is go to NY and see shows on Broadway, typically for his birthday. Other than that, Aarons’s favorite way to spend his time is either playing ice hockey, kayaking, soccer, or basketball. Aaron adores everyone at ArtStream and says Monday nights make him happy.

Adam is an actor from Bethesda, Maryland. He has acted with ArtStream for 16 years. Adam has also performed at Imagination Stage, Adventure Theater MTC, and with the Bannockburn Spring Show. He has regularly volunteered at WAMU, Fabrangen, VisArts, SPIRIT Club, and at the ArtStream office. He enjoys using the internet, especially researching music playlists like those from his favorite restaurant, Chipotle, or on a music platform like Spotify. Amelia is a veteran ArtStream performer. She recently moved back to Maryland from South Carolina after six years of living there. This is her second year in ArtStream’s Cabaret. Amelia’s love for theater has grown over the years, and she is fond of classic movies. Some of her favorite classic movie actors are Charlie Chaplin, Cary Grant, The Marx Brothers, and Buster Keaton. Her other passions are cooking, tennis, boxing, and dancing. “I have grown so much as a person and made many friends throughout my time in ArtStream.”

Annetta taught for ArtStream on and off since its incep- tion. She’s been a movement and voice coach, taught poetry, drama, and even yoga! Much of her teaching has been with ArtStream community partner programs at Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children (CSAAC), the Forbush School, and The Treatment and Learning Centers (TLC) where she co-teaches Theater & Improvisation classes. Annetta teaches Super Social Saturdays & several Take Five classes: Practicing Performance, Storytelling, Shakespeare Clowns, & her latest offering — Embodiment & Performance. She works with Makom and gives drama and storytelling classes at the Edlavitch DC JCC. Annetta has facilitated ArtStream’s monthly Sibling Happy Hour with a focus on how theater skills help in self-expression, communication, & empathy. She’s also on the Fine Arts faculty at Trinity Washington University as well as a freelance artist for several local theater companies.

Claudia Bocock was born in London and came to Washington DC when she was two. She started acting with BAPA in her teens and continued up until its last show. She appeared as the narrator in Godspell and also in Working, the iconic show at Arena Stage including both professional and amateur actors with and without disabilities. She
spent two years at Boston University’s School of Theatre and has had internships at the Kennedy Center and Liz Lerman Dance Theatre, where she managed to be a most expressive tree in The Lorax. Claudia loves theatre, dance, musicals, opera, and movies in all languages, as well as cats. She ushers whenever she can. She is returning to ArtStream after a long absence and thanks all those who have supported her on her journey.

Denise is a sixty- something-years-young actor from Washington, DC. She loves performing with ArtStream! Previously, she took a class with Annetta where she got to play the roles of a student and a mentor. Denise has performed at the Inwood Coffee House for 12 years. She attended Sharpe Health School and sang at church from ages 10 to 18. Denise is active in her church, especially the group Handicap Encounter Christ (HEC). Denise has many hobbies, including oil painting, crocheting, cooking, bingo, bowling, and karaoke. But most of all, Denise loves helping others and making people laugh. “I only have praise for ArtStream. I’ve learned so much in the last few years, and I have a lot of respect for my coworkers and fellow actors. In early 2020, Elias was selected to play in the US World Cup Special Needs adult ice hockey team in Las Vegas! He plays ice hockey for a few leagues, ran a marathon, and does Special Olympics. Jonathan is a 26-year old from Rockville, Maryland, who has performed in ArtStream’s Cabaret and Theater Companies. He has sung solo and in duets in private recitals with other aspiring performers. He was a member of the chorus in the Walter Johnson production of Les Miserables. Jonathan lives on his own and works as an Administrative Aide in the State Attorney’s Office for Montgomery County. Joe Rogers retired from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage after spending 33 years with the firm in multiple positions ending in Executive Vice President. Joe spent over 44 years in the industry and served as President of the Metropolitan Washington Mortgage Bankers Association twice. Currently, he is on the Board of Advisors to the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, Rogers has also served on numerous other boards including the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area and Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart. Joe graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA degree in Government and Politics. Rogers has been married to his wife Cory for over 46 years and has three daughters and now four grandchildren. He is very happy to be working with ArtStream and is excited about our upcoming Cabaret.

Leslie loves musicals: in Cabaret, she performed “Impossible Dream” from Man of La Mancha, “Day by Day” from Godspell with her friend Denise Green, and “What I Did for Love,” from A Chorus Line, with her brother Ken accompanying her on flute. “I love Cabaret because I’m good at it. I feel happy when my friends see my shows and cheer me on.”

She performed in the 2014 22Q-ties Beauty Pageant for special needs. Rachel earned the Girl Scout Gold Award advocating for 22Q deletion. Rachel works out weekly with SPIRIT Club and has lost over 30 pounds! She also enjoys singing, taking care of her dog, arts and crafts, and daily phone calls with her Grandma.

Wendy is also a music director with Lumina Studio Theatre, plays bass with the band Wendy & the Lost Boys, and volunteers in hospital set- tings through Musicians on Call. Alexx has been performing since fourth grade and has enjoyed singing and piano ever since. Alexx is a big fan of classic rock especially The Beatles. Anna Tiernan is a 21-year-old actor from Arlington, Virginia. This is Anna’s third performance with ArtStream. Anna is a senior in the Program for Employment Preparedness (PEP) at the Arlington Career Center, a community-based program for supported work experience and independent living. Anna enjoys music, watching The Voice on TV, riding her bike, and playing basketball and baseball. She is a huge fan of the Washington Nationals and Capitals. Eric Niedringhaus, a 43-year-old actor living in McLean, Virginia. He started acting in school musicals while a student at McLean High School. He has been an ArtStream actor since 2007. He works for a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office contractor assembling patent grant documents. Eric has participated in Special Olympics since 1997 and enjoys Family Bowling. He is active with his church where he sings with the music group and serves as a sacristan. Mark Jones is a 34-year-old actor from Arlington, VA. His first acting experience was performing with his twin sister Emily and older brother Evan for their parents and grandparents. He joined ArtStream in 2008 and has played characters from a soccer player, to an evil prince, to a police chief. Mark is active in Special Olympics soccer and basketball. Mark works at the Blossom Café in Oakton, and on Saturdays he volunteers at the Arlington Central Library children’s room. His favorite activity is holding his new baby niece and nephew.
