Do you have songs that you love so much you feel you could listen to them on repeat? The kind of songs that make you want to laugh, dance, and stand up and cheer? From legendary Broadway showtunes to iconic rock anthems and classic pop songs, we all carry a “mixtape” in our hearts. Tune into My Favorite Mixtape.
At this performance, we present the music that expresses who we are, what we believe in, and what we carry in our hearts.
So plug in to our show featuring a talented ensemble of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – including autism – and enjoy the sounds of My Favorite Mixtape.
WHAT IS THE CABARET COMPANY?
Actors follow their performance passions to create a short act that challenges their creativity and showcases their interests. The final show is performed cabaret-style and includes music, dancing, comedy, and original scenes.
ArtStream performances feature adult actors with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) — including autism — and other social and behavioral needs. Actors, volunteer mentors, and theatre professionals works as a team to create original performances for live audiences.
ArtStream, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit arts organization, supported by individual donors and by funding from the Montgomery County Government and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, and by the Maryland State Arts Council, on the web at msac.org/recognizing-our-grants.
