Training in Arts in Healthcare

ArtStream offers introductory and specific topic-related arts in healthcare training sessions.  For many patients or residents, artistic expression can be a lifeline to their imaginations, hopes, dreams and the emotions that they are experiencing.  Arts in healthcare research documents a host of holistic health benefits that may be derived from live arts experiences in healthcare settings.  ArtStream training provides opportunity for you and your staff to learn about these benefits and how you can become involved in this vital, growing field.

Training may be offered in a variety of formats – professional development sessions, career or health fair presentations, seminars, workshops, etc.

Medical professionals may be resourced, for example, through a professional development session illuminating an ArtStream program underway in their healthcare center.  Artists and educators seeking new applications for their talents may find direction through an introductory arts in healthcare seminar.  Young people considering arts careers may be equipped with more options for the future by attending an ArtStream career presentation.

ArtStream professionals also welcome opportunities to share about our Deborah Jean Arts in Hospitals and Hospice Program and its varied initiatives through training formats offered by other organizations.
