Richard Russey
Richard Russey is a veteran art educator, administrative leader, author, public speaker, program director, fundraiser, and effective leadership advocate with over 30 years experience who has served in local, state, and national leadership roles for both the public and private sector.
He was a supervising educator for the fourth largest school system in the country, and the creator and first director of its premier museum education program; he also served as the chief of statewide programs and education for the Museum of New Mexico; and was the director of programs for the international nonprofit, VSA arts in Washington, DC.
Most recently Richard served as the director of training and technical assistance for a major government contractor working with an agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (Office of Head Start). During his tenure as a federal government contractor, Mr. Russey was responsible for writing proposals that resulted in over $10 Million in awarded contracts during his eight-year tenure.
Richard’s approach to program development and leadership blends the cognitive with the affective, resulting in a winning style and methodology perfectly suited to creating success in educational settings.
