About Scripted Companies
Inclusive Theatre Companies are designed for adults (18+) with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and adults who are on the Autism Spectrum.
The companies are directed by trained theatre professionals. An original script is developed during the rehearsal process through improvisation techniques. A play is scripted and then blocked, memorized by the actors and performed for the public. The final production is designed to showcase each actor’s unique talents.
Each company will be limited to 15 people.
Inclusive Theatre Companies require an audition in order to participate.
Auditions
Auditions for the Silver Spring Inclusive Theatre Companies will be held on Tuesday, December 11th
Actors will be expected to prepare a short piece. This can be a song, a poem, a monologue or a dance. The directors may also lead some acting or movement exercises for the group.
What is required at auditions?
Both Companies will audition together in Silver Spring!

The Curious Dream and Back to the Past
The 2011-2012 Silver Spring Inclusive Theatre Company presented their time-bending comedy Back to the Past. April 26th-29th, 2012 at Round House Silver Spring in Silver Spring, MD.
This production was presented in a double-bill with the Gaithersburg Inclusive Showcase (current Silver Spring Company B) production of The Curious Dream and the Travel Machine.

Lost in a Dream at the Super Hero Diner: Observations by a Fox
The 2006-2007 Silver Spring Inclusive Theatre Company finished a run of Lost in a Dream at the Super Hero Diner in June 2007 at the Round House Theatre Silver Spring. Audiences enjoyed the show about Tony and his Super Hero Friend's saving the world from villain Isayo Supremo! This production was scripted and directed by Emilia O'Connor with assistant directing by Erica Craig.
