Dear Friends,

Are you ready to try something completely new? Something that’s never been done before? Step out of your routine? Perform solo? This year, seven ArtStreamers took a giant step into the unknown and auditioned for the very first ArtStream Cabaret.  With courage, confidence and joy, each person shared a skill they are proud of: performing a comedy monologue, dancing solo, singing A Capella, telling jokes, and more. Now they are hard at work preparing for their first Cabaret performance, February 12, 2018, at AMP by Strathmore. Join us for this all new performance.

Thanks to your generosity, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) – including Autism – can confidently Dream Big.

ArtStream has helped boost my self-confidence in ways I never thought possible. It has helped me make wonderful friends, a task I’ve never been very good at. I love the music we write, and the dance steps we learn.  It has allowed me to sing and dance and speak in front of an audience, knowing I won’t embarrass myself.

Support from altruistic donors like you contributes to programs like Cabaret, our six Inclusive Theatre Companies, and more than 750 confidence-building communication and social skills classes each year. Your donations also provide bedside and group art sessions to improve healing and resiliency for 650 wounded servicemembers and 1,700 nurses and medics at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Ninety-two cents of every dollar you donate is used to support these programs.
