Create a Character in Oakton

Create and perform your own character. What do they like? Who are their friends? What do they want? Make your own choices and learn how to act them out on stage!
Dates: Mondays, March 19 – May 14 (no class April 2)

Tuition: $280 for eight weeks

Who should register?
This class is designed for adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) — including autism — and other social and behavioral needs. Participants should be able to function in groups of up to 30 people with 1:4 staffing; independently meet self-care needs; follow directions; and demonstrate respectful, safe behavior at all times.
Are classrooms accessible?
All classes are held at locations easy to access by bus, metro, or MetroAccess. Venues are selected to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility equipment.
What if I cannot afford tuition?
ArtStream services are eligible for LISS and respite funding and ArtStream students are eligible to pay in installments or receive tuition assistance. Check your preferred payment option when you register and the office will follow up to confirm.
