Deirdre McGaffey Schwein
Deirdre brings with her almost 20 years of professional theatrical experience. She has worked as a designer, techie and sometime actor in companies in New York (MMC Off Off Broadway, (in parentheses theatre co.), KenTon Summer Musical Company, GFCT), Maine (Strawflower Theatre), Massachusetts (Berkshire Theatre), Virginia (The Arlington Players), and California (City Lights, CTC, Affordable Theater, Broadway West, Bella Luna). Deirdre received her degree in Technical Theater from The State University of New York, University at Buffalo.
Known especially for her work in historical and fantasy designs, Deirdre has created everything from Romeo and Juliet sock puppets to a 6' tortoise (and the hare).
Returning to Virginia after more than two decades, Deirdre is honored to work with ArtStream.
