About Disability Services

About Inclusive Theatre Classes

Inclusive Theatre Classes are tuition-based instructional sessions designed for adults with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and adults on the Autism Spectrum. Classes are led by trained theatre professionals and cover basics of improvisation, scene building and character.  Classes may also touch on music, dance and movement.  Instructors work hard to make inclusive classes accessible and engaging for participants of all skill and experience levels.  All ArtStream classes are held in a safe, supportive environment that encourages participants to share, take risks and grow in a group setting.

About Inclusive Theatre Companies

Inclusive Theatre Companies are tuition-based performing companies designed for  adults with intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and adults on the Autism Spectrum. They are directed by trained theatre professionals. An original script is developed during the rehearsal process through improvisation techniques. A play is scripted and then blocked, memorized by the actors and performed for the public. The final production is designed to showcase each actor’s unique talents.

Inclusive Theatre Companies require an audition in order to participate.

About Contracted Services for Adults and Children with Disabilities

We work in schools, provider agencies for persons with disabilities, senior facilities, hospitals and hospice organizations. We can also provide training workshops for your staff.

Contracted services can cover a range of topics--usually focusing on one topic per season or semester.  Topics offered include, but are not limited to drama, dance, movement, music, puppetry, visual arts and yoga.  Teaching artists are trained for situations including clients of all skill and experience levels, this includes creative expression for those participants who are non-verbal or have limited mobility.

These sessions are an opportunity for a trained ArtStream teaching artist to bring expressive arts into a communal facility.

ArtStream offers private lessons in Drama and Social Skills Building to our students of all abilities.
