Veterans Collaborative Presentation on Allies in the Arts

ArtStream's Ermyn King and Judy Rollins, PhD, RN have been invited to provide a presentation on ArtStream's Allies in the Arts Project at the 2:00 pm March 21, 2012 Veterans Collaborative Meeting held at the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services in Rockville, MD.  Representatives from local and regional organizations serving and interested in serving military-affiliated clients attend Veterans Collaborative meetings.

The meetings offer a forum for sharing about and connecting to military and veteran services, while also learning more about the needs of military service members and their families and how to adapt programs to help meet these needs.

Veterans Collaborative meetings are held monthly as a joint initiative of the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and the Serving Together: Troops, Veterans and Family Care Project – an endeavor of the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County, with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, local funding partnerships and other valued community partners. Serving Together works to coordinate Montgomery County efforts to support service members and their families, aligning such efforts with regional, state and national resources.

Given our service to Wounded Warriors and their families and caregivers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center through the Allies in the Arts Project, ArtStream has identified itself as a resource partner for Serving Together.  We value the opportunity to familiarize other resource partners and organizations with Allies in the Arts through our Veterans Collaborative Meeting presentation.
