Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust Grant
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust has awarded a grant to support ArtStream's Allies in the Arts Artists-in-Residence Project at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC).
The DAV Charitable Service Trust supports physical and psychological rehabilitation programs aimed at some of America's veterans who are profoundly disabled, meets the special needs of veterans with specific disabilities - such as paralysis, amputation brain injuries - and aids and shelters homeless veterans. The Trust also brings hope to the families of disabled veterans, and ensures transportation to VA medical facilities for veterans who are sick and disabled.
As a non-profit charitable organization, the Trust relies upon donations from the public to support grants awarded.
ArtStream is grateful to be included among organizations that are supported by the Trust. Thanks to this generous grant, our Allies in the Arts Artists-in-Residence Project will continue to touch the lives of disabled veterans, wounded troops, and their families at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
