The Inclusive Companies are a 6-month commitment directed by trained theatre professionals. An original script is developed during the rehearsal process through improvisation techniques. A play is scripted and then blocked, memorized by the actors and performed for the public. The final production is designed to showcase each actor’s unique talents.

Because of this year's overwhelming response from the community, ArtStream is proud to premiere the Gaithersburg Inclusive Showcase. The Showcase is a 4-month commitment that will involve the same development proces as our Inclusive Theatre Companies. The final production will be on a smaller scale because of the truncated rehearsal process.

Inclusive Theatre Companies and Showcase require an audition in order to participate.

We want to see you perform!  You can perform a dance, a poem, a song, a short story or a monologue.

The Gaithersburg Companies will rehearse on Tuesdays, January 10 - June 5, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  These rehearsals will culminate in a fully staged production to be peformed for the public June 15, 16, 22, 23 and 24.

The Gaithersburg Inclusive Showcase will rehearse once per week for two hours each week (day and time TBA). These rehearsals will culminate in a fully realized showcase to be performed for the public April 26, 27, 28 and 29 at Round House Silver Spring.

Inclusive Theatre Companies and Showcase are tuition based to help defray the costs of production. Payment plans and scholarships are available. Participants will never be turned away because they are unable to pay. For questions about tuition, please contact Jennie Lutz at j.lutz@art-stream.org.
