Sandra Roachford
Sandra Roachford has taught dance and creative movement in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for more than 18 years. Her work includes dance for children and Senior adults. Sandra taught dance for Imagination Stage for 16 years. Her work includes choreography and teaching summer camps and workshops. She has taught exercise through dance classes for Iona Senior Services. She is currently teaching for Arts for the Aging.
Sandra has danced with Nancy Havlik’s Dance Performance group with performances in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia, New York and in DC’s first Fringe Festival.
Other accomplishments include recent choreography for the play The Cast Aways for Dr. Charles Drew Elementary School (an arts integrated school) which was performed at the Olney Theater. She also teaches dance and creative movement for Camp Diva for the Girl Scout National Council Area of the Nation’s Capital.
Sandra has a BFA in dance from The Boston Conservatory of Music and MA in dance from The American University.
