Patricia Krauss

Patricia Krauss is a performer, choreographer, director, and dance educator. She was the founder and artistic director of Seize the Day Mixed-Abilities Performance, a nationally recognized dance troupe whose members included artists with disabilities, for ten years. Krauss created over 30 dance works for Seize the Day, and was resident choreographer for the Access-Ability program at Imagination Stage for twelve years. She brings her passion for dance and theatre, her expertise and deep commitment in serving individuals with disabilities to ArtStream.

Ms. Krauss was honored by the Maryland State Arts Council as an individual artist for her contribution to the community and has been a guest artist at many universities and festivals including the VSA Arts Festival at the Kennedy Center. Her solo and group work has been presented in theaters throughout the United States and in the UK. She holds a B.A. degree in dance and an M.S. in special education from John Hopkins University. She is a volunteer hospice care-giver with Hospice Caring, and played the part of "The Mime" in ArtStream's 2006 production of "The Arkansaw Bear." She is delighted, humbled and honored to be a part of ArtStream's revolutionary vision.
