Lenore Magida

Lenore (Lennie) Magida is Senior Manager of Development & Communications at the Association of Small Foundations, which helps foundations with few or no staff be more effective philanthropists. Previously Lennie was Senior Writer in the Development Department of Special Olympics, raising funds for worldwide programs for people with intellectual disabilities. She has also been a reporter, editor and travel writer on the U.S. mainland, in Hawaii and in various parts of Asia; she also worked in hotel public relations in Beijing and served as director of community and media relations at Hong Kong International School. Lennie also spent a number of years as a personal trainer and fitness instructor.

In her off hours, Lennie keeps busy with the local community theatre scene as an actor, director and board member, as well as with travel, the arts, fitness and family. Lennie has a B.A. in sociology from Brandeis University and a J.D. (long unused!)
