John Newman

John is a writer, director, teacher and sometimes actor who has recently moved to the DC area. He holds his BA in Theatre from Penn State University where he helped develop the student sitcom project "304." His most recent work ("Pagans and Primitives") was featured in Rorschach Theatre's extreme play development series "Myth Appropriation: Tales from the Edge of the World." His other ten-minute play, "Tea Party Ka-Boom!" is currently being used as a teaching tool for the Penn State World campus. In DC he has worked with Traveling Players' Ensemble and Rorschach Theatre. He also runs long distances and studies tai-chi.
