Judith Brussell

Judith Brussell has been a writer and teacher for more than 20 years. She has a Ph.D. in Theatre and has been working toward her NADT certification in drama therapy. Judith has worked in the expressive arts in many settings with different participants: with young children and pre-teens in school and on the pediatric ward, pre-teens with mental illness and developmental disabilities in a long-term psychiatric facility, young adults with developmental disabilities in video and drama projects, adult immigrants in the classroom and outside in playwriting and video projects. In addition, she has taught English, ESL, and various Humanities courses in college classrooms, continuing education, and in the Arlington REEP Program from 2001-2006.

Ms. Brussell is an author of plays, musicals, video scripts, and puppet plays. Her works for children include a puppet play about Eleanor Roosevelt, a video co-written with Linda Zimmer about death and loss, a Smithsonian video, and a children’s educational t.v. special which won a regional Emmy.
