Clifford M. Cohen

Clifford M. Cohen has over 25 years of corporate and legal experience and is the principal partner in the Washington D.C. office of Capobianco & Cohen. Cliff focuses his practice on business and estate planning, including fundamental planning for families, seniors and those with special needs, as well as advanced tax planning for the family business and affluent individuals facing substantial estate tax exposure. In addition to his legal representation and advice, Cliff provides an often neglected business perspective to his clients, gained from his experience in the real estate and investment banking industries in New York City and Chicago.

Cliff graduated from Boston University where he received his degree in business administration in 1975. Prior to attending law school he worked in the real estate business in Boston, MA. In 1981, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami Law School. He has been admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Florida, Massachusetts and Illinois and is a member of the trusts and estates section of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Florida Bar. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association .

Cliff is actively involved in local community activities related to business and the arts. In addition to his appointment to the board of directors of Arts Stream, he serves as a member of the board of directors of the Bethesda Fire Department, multiple committees of the Bethesda Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce and the finance committee of Imagination Stage.
